[BCFSN] It has been 20 years! How the HEAL are you?

Hello all

Wow! It is hard to believe, but it has been 2 decades since a small but
mighty group of women met at an old military camp transformed into a movie
set near Prince George to dream about ways to transform the systems that
determine what where when why and even if we eat!

I recall it felt eerie being in that movie set/military camp as the world
was reeling from the recent 911 attack. But then our presence there, the
vision created, the seeds of fire sown, and the relationships formed, felt
exactly right.

We came up with the idea of a northern network  that would serve to make
visible, connect, support, and inspire activity to close the
distance between the field and the fork. We called our network, our food
chain  HEAL...,

Check out this beautiful video we produced. So many of your lovely faces
are there. And sadly a few inspirational  leaders like Kathleen Kneen, Mary
Anne Arcand, and Wayne Roberts have now passed!

ON International Women's Day I thought of you (the men too).
I wanted to reach out to let you know that.

I think it would be lovely to meet up via zoom. Perhaps there is interest
in a post pandemic meet up?

Let e know if you are interested, I'll pull together a call

And feel free to pass this onto others who might have been engaged directly
in HEAL or moreso as a kindred spirit on a similar journey towards
sustainable just food systems.
