Jim,

I’ve not heard of a separate deadline for municipalities. We just have the April 30th one for everyone, as far as I’m aware.

So, please do get your comments/survey in if you haven’t done so yet.

Someone (e.g., Arzeena) can correct me if I’m wrong, but I imagine that local government input needs to be received soon but not necessarily by the deadline for input from the general public (4 p.m. on Monday, April 30).

Fortunately, a couple of decades of pro-ALR evangelizing have empowered the mayor to shift significantly toward pro-ALR thinking this year. Also, Richmond council, probably like many other BC councils, is more ALR-friendly when calling on the provincial government to act, as opposed to when faced with the prospect of defying the developers and speculators to take useful action.)

I must say a lot of my time and energy has been focused on working on creating a local government farm land trust, however I am as ever dedicated to strengthening the ALR. You continue to do good work and I thank you for it, Linda

Fortunately the questions allow for open comments (with a 600 character limit) which allows room for whatever reframing you might consider useful.
