This is what you get when you arbitrarily remove the “independent” ALC chair. Agriculture had an advocate in Richard Bullock. Is it any wonder that the former mayor of Saanich (new ALC Chair), with NO ag experience, would approve this?

This government has got to go.

BTW: I applied to sit on the ALC when last there was an opening, but got turned down, despite decades of work on farm organizations, including current experience on an agricultural planning commission. NONE of the successful appointees had even served on a local land use commission.

The next time an opening comes up, we need to pack their in-box with applications from farmers, then raise holy hell when none of them are appointed.
