One of the biggest rewards that I experience in life, is to see young folk being influenced by all the work we do with apples on Salt Spring Island.  

Last year, I received these photos from  Lisa, a Salt Spring Island mother of 2 young kids.  She explained that  right after the 2014 Salt Spring Apple Festival, her 2 young kids went home and set up their own APPLE FESTABUL.  They had 6 apple trees available and set up a condensed Apple Festival for their neighbours.  They mimicked the facets of our larger Apple Festival.  What a beautiful bit of creativity.
