[BCFSN] Need input: Do we continue this listserv?

Hello all,
the BC Food Systems Network has not had a budget nor any active staff /
volunteers for some years now, other than my moderation of a few listservs.
To do this, our web host has scaled back our service but it still costs
$200 / year and my time to occasionally moderate the listservs.

QUESTION: is this still a valuable service? And if it is, is there another
way that it can be maintained? Should be let our web presence go and shift
to a google group instead? Or is any organization able to take this one to
keep it going?

I am torn, since I have little time to devote to keeping this going and yet
our Network, this community, has long been a leader in the country, linking
people across the vast geography that is our province. When we started in
1999, few of us had any ability to connect and get to know each other. Is
this still valuable?

Before I pay, out of pocket, for another year of a web presence and this
listserv, I thought I would put the question out to the community to get
insights into our path forward - together or, perhaps, not.
in good food,
Abra
