The Global Solidarity Alliance for Food, Health and Social Justice

 is an emergent group of non-governmental organizations, national networks,
grassroots activists and scholars concerned about rising rates of hunger
and poverty, the erosion of public nutrition entitlement, and the
increasing reliance on private charitable food networks to fulfill
government obligations to ensure the right to food. FoodShare is one of the
founding members of the Alliance.
