Hello Farmers' Market Friends!

I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well and safe. I am writing
to you from my home office that faces out to my neighbours wood pile in
East Vancouver. Strange times we are in, but it is incredible the many ways
in which people and organizations are moving forward together through it
all.

So with that and the official launch of our new BC Farmers' Markets Online

we would like to share a few snippets from our recent press release

The farmers' market season in British Columbia is blooming, albeit with a
twist this year. Shoppers now have more options to shop for fresh, seasonal
food in person or online at farmers' markets across the province. Quickly
pivoting in response to COVID-19, the BC Association of Farmers’ Markets
<https://bcfarmersmarket.org/> (BCAFM) recently launched a BC Farmers'
Market Online initiative, in addition to modified physical market
operations, to support 145+ member markets. Not only does this directly
support local farmers and businesses, but BC’s local food system,
communities and economy are being sustained by these agile and resilient
market organizers.

The number of BCAFM member farmers' markets adding an online shopping
option is growing day by day. *BCAFM expects roughly 80 farmers' markets to
offer online shopping during the peak summer season in all regions of the
province*: Cariboo Chilcotin Coast, City of Vancouver, Fraser Valley,
Kootenay Rockies & Columbia Basin, Metro Vancouver, Northern BC, Sea to
Sky, Sunshine Coast, Thompson Okanagan, and Vancouver Island and Gulf
Islands.
