[BCFSN] Food Secure Canada - Seeking Applications for Board of Directors

Food Secure Canada<https://foodsecurecanada.org/resources-news/news-media/board-nominations> (FSC) is looking for 2 - 4 new Board members who share a commitment to collaborative food systems transformation at multiple levels, from the grassroots to federal policy. The FSC Board will continue to steward changes to ensure FSC’s governance is reflective of grassroots voices and the diversity of the food movement, centring Indigenous, Black and racialized leaders, communities and policy demands; reimagining future membership; and advancing food policy. This year, we are particularly seeking Indigenous applicants, and applicants with experience working in/with Indigenous communities.
In terms of skill sets and expertise, we will be prioritizing applicants who have strong experience in:
·         Anti-oppression and anti-racism work,
·         Food security program development and delivery,
·         Food systems labour and union labour organizations,
·         Food production/provisioning/processing, including farming, hunting, fishing, and gathering,
·         Movement building/organizing,
·         Financial planning,
·         Fundraising
·         Human Resources
