Haven't really looked at this in-depth to see how it compares to other approaches, but ties to
Canada's international commitments.

>From the Commission for Environmental Cooperation: "Why and How to Measure Food Loss and Waste: A
Practical Guide is an easy-to-use tool for businesses to apply in measuring the quantity of food
wasted in their process activities. This new tool has the power to alter an organization's
practices, reducing operational costs while also helping to reduce the environmental impacts of our
food production system."

The word Adamah is rooted in the Hebrew language (Adam - man, Adamah - earth) and is interpreted as
the "land from which man was made". At its roots lies the recognition of our species intrinsic
connection to the earth and the inherent responsibility to protect and sustain it.
