[BCFSN] Please voice your support the ALR

Hi everyone,

As you may have heard, Bill 52 went to second reading in the BC Legislature. This is the Bill that returns the ALR into 1 Zone, restricts house sizes to 5000 sq ft, and prevents the pollution of ALR land with illegal fill.

There is some sense that the Bill may get pushed to the spring and we really need it to pass now.

Here’s what you can do:

1. Post to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and tag Minister Popham and tag your local MLA and tell them how much you want Bill 52 to pass
2. Write a letter to the Premier premier at gov.bc.ca <mailto:premier at gov.bc.ca> , Minister Popham AGR.Minister at gov.bc.ca <mailto:AGR.Minister at gov.bc.ca> and cc your local paper and MLA
3. Call the Premier’s office:  1-250-387-1715
4. Richmond FarmWatch has developed a letter (see attached). If you’re a farmer or represent a food security group, please consider adding your name to the list. Let FarmWatch know at: richmondfarmwatch at gmail.com <mailto:richmondfarmwatch at gmail.com>
