Dr. Mr. Natural,

Please note this email listserve is for networking and sharing information
as it relates to wild salmon. Also note, Abra Brynne does not represent
the Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty who maintains this
listserve.

I also want to state that I do not agree with perpetuating any kind of
paradigm that describes the food system in productionist or "resource"
based terminology. I feel it's part of the underlying paradigm that
created the problems in the first place.

I also feel it's important for me to work only with non-Indigenous friends
and allies who are supporting Indigenous communities to develop our own
food system framework for an by ourselves.

If you have come here to "fix us" you have come to the wrong place, but if
you have come because your reality is tangled up in mine, then there maybe
room to work together.

There are many sensitivities around how the dynamics of privilege and
power play out in your framework and as an Secwepemc matriarch, I am
limited in my capacity to respond to them.

I hope you understand.

Dawn
