province) for a food literacy mentor in the schools. I just learned of this
today and believe that the hiring is happening now or shortly, so if you

   Action Schools! BC Food Literacy Mentor
The Opportunity:

This opportunity is for casual part time Food Literacy Mentors with a
sessional reimbursement to the equivalent of .50 fte based on the program
demand as part of the Action Schools! BC.
Position Overview:

As part of the enhanced Action Schools! BC program, the food literacy
mentorship program supports K-7 schools increase healthy eating and food
literacy capacity and action in line with their Action Schools! BC healthy
living goals.  Healthy eating goals will be identified by schools through
an Action Planning process supported by Regional Development Coordinators
(RDC).  RDCs will invite schools to work with a Food Literacy Mentor for
two (2) tailored supportive sessions on enhanced food literacy teaching and
learning strategies in alignment with the new Physical and Health Education
Curriculum.  Food Literacy Mentors will build interactive, learning-focused
relationships with schools that respond flexibly and appropriately to
schools needs and across learning environments. The on-call position
maintains flexibility for the mentor ranging from casual part time with a
sessional reimbursement to the equivalent of .50 fte based on program
demand.
