Dear all,

Given that many of you are connected to anti-poverty and food security
work, I'm hoping you'll be able to help spread the word about a series of
Workers' Forums throughout Metro Vancouver (Surrey, Burnaby, Vancouver and
New Westminster) between 11th-20th October. Hosted by the BC Employment
Standards Coalition, the forums are a space for hired workers in 'bad jobs'
to share their stories, with the goal of informing improved legislation for
more dignified workplaces in BC.

If you tune into CBC's Early Edition tomorrow (Oct 11) at 7:40am, you can
hear the Coalition Co-Chair David Fairey talk about decent work and the
Workers' Forums.
