Only 3 days left until the 3rd annual Small Farm Sessions.

The sessions are a full day of technical session and trade show for farmers
with diverse operations connected to the local food system. Our 2016 theme
is Water Management and Irrigation and the day will include a series of
talks and demonstrations.

When: Saturday, February 13 from 9am - 3pm
Where: Melville Centre for Dialogue, KPU Richmond
Cost: $20 (includes coffee and lunch)

10:30 - Coffee Break (provided)
10:45 - Practical Climate Change Impacts in Southwest BC (Dr. Dieter
Geesing, Ministry of Agriculture)
11:15 - Soil Monitoring Tools & Technology (Dr. Rebecca Harbut, KPU)
12:00 - Lunch (provided)
1:00  - Irrigation Technology & Design (Stephanie Tam, Ministry of
Agriculture)
2:00  - Farmers Panel (Harvie Snow of Snow Farms, Bill Zylman of W&A Farms,
Corine Singfield of Tsawwassen First Nations Farm School)
2:45  - Final Remarks

The Trade Show, which will run concurrently, will include vendors and
organizations who can provide ideas, support programs and products to
improve water conservation, drought adaptation and revenue on you farm
operation.

The Small Farm Sessions are organized and hosted by the Institute for
Sustainable Food Systems at KPU.
