Hi All,
I encourage you all to attend one or more of the upcoming Site C Forums to
learn more about why food sovereignty and Indigenous and agricultural food
lands are more important than the proposed site C dam which must be
stopped. Please share this message far and wide within your circles of
friends, families and colleagues.

Let's show up in numbers to show how Indigenous and Settler communities can
work together to conserve biodiversity and create alternative economic
strategies for the benefit of all.

> Dear Dawn,
>
> So many positive initiatives have been taking place with our campaign to
> protect the Peace River Valley from Site C dam since we sent our last
> action alert to you:
>
> - Several rallies were held in Vancouver and Fort St. John
> - A very well attended presentation on Site C and the potential losses
> to First Nations and agricultural land was held at UBC
> - Eagles in the Peace River valley contravened BC Hydro’s work permits
> and built a new nest right in the area that BC Hydro hoped to clear!
> - Site C hunger striker Kristen Henry went without food for 20 days in
> an effort to bring attention to the campaign. She has suffered heart and
> kidney damage but is now eating.
> - The Peace Valley Landowner Association (PVLA) was heard in BC’s
> Court of Appeal on April 4th and 5th. They argued that the BC
> Minister of the Environment had a duty to consider recommendations from the
> Joint Review Panel on the need for, cost and alternatives to Site C.

> Land Reserve. And Ana Simeon of Sierra Club will bring everyone up to speed
