I am in the middle of reading The Inconvenient Indian
<http://penguinrandomhouse.ca/books/93028/inconvenient-indian#9780385664226>.
As a friend of mine said, it should be required reading for all Canadian
students.
I believe in the future we are all going to be thanking our indigenous
people for being the last line / first line of defence in protecting our
province and country from at least some damage.
