The BC Food Systems Network will host its 16^th Annual Gathering in Sorrento, BC, in the traditional territory of the Secwepemc Nation, from June 26^th through June 29^th. This year’s Gathering theme is “Revisiting our Roots: Honouring Our Bio-Cultural Heritage.”

The BCFSN supports a sustainable system that recognizes food as the basis of health and cultural integrity, and that protects and enhances the quality of land, air and water for future generations.

The three-day program will feature informative workshops, interactive sessions, and panel discussions on topics including: Year of the Family Farm; Indigenous land and food systems; farm, land and water protection; seed saving; GMO awareness; and biodiversity.

Registration rates are provided below, and include conference registration, accommodation and meals. Early Bird prices are now closed.

We will also be offering a full program for the kids at no extra charge. Children under 5 will be welcomed at no cost.

We hope that you will find time to join us for a return to the ‘ancestral homelands’ of the Gathering, where the first eleven Gatherings took place between 1999 and 2009. It will be a wonderful weekend of meeting old friends, making new ones, and above all else forging new connections to one another and to our many food systems.
