It is time once again for the BC Farmers' Markets Conference. We invite you
to join us for a weekend of networking, learning and sharing with other
farmers, vendors, farmers' market organizers, and agricultural and
community leaders.

*BC Farmers' Markets Conference - Call for Workshop Proposals*
*Deadline: December 15, 2015*

We are requesting conference workshop proposals, and invite you to share
your expertise, experience and passion with the BC Farmers' Markets
community! We are accepting workshop proposals until Tuesday, December 15,
2015.

*About the Conference*
The BC Association of Farmers' Markets (BCAFM) is holding its annual
conference, with the theme *"Nourish and Flourish, Healthy Markets Make
Healthy Communities."* The conference will take place Friday through
Sunday, March 4th - 6th, 2016 at the Delta Grand Resort

learning; bringing together farmers’ market managers, boards, vendors and

*Workshop Details*
We are seeking vibrant and inspiring proposals for workshops to offer at
the conference. Workshop sessions will run for 75 minutes.  Between 25-60
people will attend each session.


*How To Submit a Proposal *Submit the proposal online through this link

for:

   - Short bio of the presenter(s), detailing their qualifications on the
   topic
   - Intended audience (i.e. market managers, non-profit board members,
   farmers, vendors)
   - Session title
   - Description of the session
   - What you expect the attendees to learn as a result of your workshop

*Tips*

   - All sessions are learning experiences and are non-commercial
   - The description should clearly describe what the session is about
   - Sessions should include some interactive or experiential elements in
   your design, as appropriate

*Benefits for Presenters*
We are a non-profit organization and do our best to keep conference
expenses as low as possible. We value the skills and expertise of our
presenters. The following are potentially available to support your
presentation:

   - One free conference registration for the first presenter and a
   discount for additional presenters
   - Modest honorarium or trade show space
   - Limited reimbursement of travel costs
