[BCFSN] BC Virtual Seedy Saturday Conference

Hi Foodie Folks,

At FarmFolk CityFolk we are collaboratively hosting BC’s first-ever
province-wide Virtual Seedy Saturday Conference, February 19 - 21. COVID-19
has increased awareness of local food and seed issues nationwide while
simultaneously making it harder for us to gather. This conference is in
direct response to Seedy organizers’ collective call to deliver a
pandemic-friendly gathering.

Expect to leave the conference excited about planting and perhaps saving
your own seeds in 2021. Participants will interact with various seed
vendors, gain seed and gardening knowledge, learn about local resources,
and seed swaps. This Virtual Seedy Saturday Conference is a great way to
kick start your 2021 gardening season!


Our keynote address is from Vandana Shiva and the Honourable Lana Popham
will be joining us to introduce the weekend.  There will be many sessions
to engage with, including a Master Gardener's Q & A; BC Seed Companies;
Seed Saving; Community Discussion Rooms; Seed Saving for School
Curriculums; a theatrical performance from Runaway Moon Theatre and movie
screenings of Gather and SEED: The Untold Story!
