I hope you are all keeping and eating well amidst these strange times.

Please see below for a quick and easy tool that the BC Chapter of the
Coalition for Healthy School Food has created t*o send an email to your MLA
candidates <https://www.healthyschoolfood.ca/bc-chapter> to* ask them to
commit to a universal, cost-shared, healthy school food program. With the
election just a couple weeks away, now is the time to ask all BC candidates
to #NourishKidsNow and invest in #BCSchoolFood for the health and wellbeing
of students, families, and communities.

BC Election 2020 – Ask your candidates to #Nourish Kids Now!

Dear BC supporters of the Coalition for Healthy School Food,

The 2020 provincial election campaign is officially underway, and the BC
Chapter for the Coalition of Healthy School Food has less than one month to
make school food a key election issue. Let’s make 2020 the last year any
child in British Columbia goes without a healthy lunch at school!
*We can’t do this without you!*
Here’s how you can get involved:

*1. Send a letter to your MLA candidates*

The COVID-19 crisis has reinforced our understanding that school food is an
essential public good, just like K-12 education and healthcare. Students
need access to good food to be healthy and ready to learn. Investing in
school food also benefits families, school communities and local food
economies.
