Dear Colleagues,

I’m writing for your assistance is spreading the word about the new *2019
North American Food Systems Network (NAFSN) food systems development
practitioner survey* that is currently underway. As of this morning (10am
ET), we currently have 261 responses. We hope to quadruple this number by
the end of the month. However, the respondents to date do not yet reflect
the racial or geographic distribution of the North American population,
with people of color and Canadians presently severely underrepresented.

Please share the survey announcement (below) with your networks, especially
food and farming organizations of color and those in Canada and the
Caribbean. Alas, we don’t have the resources to produce Spanish and
Québécois versions. However, there’s no excuse for not trying to
over-sample food system development practitioners who are African American,
Hispanic American, or Native American, as well as beef up our Canadian
respondents.

Minnesota has the highest number of respondents so far! Please also do what
you can to increase response from your respective states. 😊
