While BC still lacks stand-alone legislation for species at risk, Ontario does have legislations and
has some great programs underway for agricultural landowners such as the Species at Risk and Farm
Incentive Program.

Hello,

Free Webinar: Monitoring Pollinators on your Farm

Join OSCIA and Blazing Star Environmental for a webinar to learn about monitoring Ontario
pollinators on your farm!

There are over 700 species of native pollinators in Ontario. Some of the pollinators you might see
on the farm include bees, butterflies, moths, wasps, flies, ants, and hummingbirds. More than 3/4 of
crops grown in Ontario rely on pollinators; however, pollinator population are declining due to
pressure from habitat loss, pests and disease, pesticides, and invasive species. Farmers can help
support pollinator health and conservation efforts by learning about pollinators and their habitat.
If you are interested in learning more about bees and butterflies, and how to monitor and support
these native pollinators, this webinar is for you!

The word Adamah is rooted in the Hebrew language (Adam - man, Adamah - earth) and is interpreted as
the "land from which man was made". At its roots lies the recognition of our species intrinsic
connection to the earth and the inherent responsibility to protect and sustain it.
