Good afternoon,

As you are aware, the Government of Canada is conducting consultations to
get input from Canadians to help shape A Food Policy for Canada
<https://www.canada.ca/en/campaign/food-policy.html> that will cover the
entire food system, from production to consumption to compost.

As part of these consultations, Community Connections (Revelstoke) Society
is hosting a What’s Your Recipe for a Better Food System? community
engagement event at the Revelstoke Recreation & Aquatic Centre, located at
600 Campbell Ave on Wednesday, September 27 at 7pm to bring together
citizens to talk about how we can build a healthier, more just,
sustainable, and economically viable food system for all Canadians. The
conversation will also look at Revelstoke's local food policies.

These events are being coordinated across the country by the members of
Food Secure Canada. Food Secure Canada <https://foodsecurecanada.org/> is a
national network of organizations and individuals working for zero hunger,
healthy and safe food, and sustainable food systems.

Please consider making the trip to Revelstoke to join us.

All the beets,

Melissa
