[BCFSN] Progressive Food Business Training - Feeding Growth

Hello BCFSN family,


I hope things are going stellar for everyone.



Something potentially of interest to some of you or your networks. This
Fall, the Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm, with Vancity and
Fluid Creative, is offering a food business program called Feeding Growth
<http://feedinggrowth.com/>. Feeding Growth is an educational platform that
supports food entrepreneurs build their sustainable/organic/local brand,
scale their manufacturing, and access financing, all that through a dynamic
dialogue and mentoring with industry experts. The idea is to create a
community of environmentally and socially progressive packaged BC food
enterprises that are equipped to make a difference.



Registration is now open and the training series starts September 29th, so
if you know of anybody who would be interested, whether that’s a
restaurateur who is thinking of creating packaged goods or an
entrepreneurial BC newcomer or a friend of yours who sells really good jam
at the farmer’s market, please feel free to pass on the invite (more
details below).
