Please see forwarded message below for an important call to action from
Chief Bob Chamberlain who is heading up the First Nations Wild Salmon
Alliance. We need people of all creeds, colours and cultures to stand
beside us and push the governments and corporations to get the fish farms
out of our ocean! We also need to stand strong in our alliances to STOP
IMPERIALS METALS from allowing Mount Polley and other destructive mines to
happen in our precious salmon bearing watersheds.

Please share the forwarded message below and use the attached templates to
send to elected officials names in Chief Chamberlains' email.

Wild Salmon will <3 you for it.

Good morning Dawn

Please find attached the Two (2) Template letters which were outcomes of
the First Nation Wild Salmon Alliance Wild Salmon Strategic Dialogue
Session of April 18, 19, 2016.

One pertains to the DFO participating on a Federal Court Appeal to overturn
the initial ruling “stopping” Fish Farm Companies from knowingly placing
diseased Atlantic salmon Smolts in open net cage Fish Farms.

This court proceeding will go ahead May 27, 2016 in Calgary. The change of
venue from British Columbia was sought to expedite this hearing. There is
an urgency to this letter being placed on First Nation letterhead and sent
to DFO Minister Tootoo and Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould.

The second letter is to address the upcoming plans of DFO to accept
application for Fish Farm Companies to apply for multi-year 6-9 years
licenses, which is in opposition to the Cohen Commission Report
recommendations that calls for 1 year licenses until such a time as science
and new siting criteria for Fish Farms to be completed. Which has not
occurred.

I thank you in advance for considering sending these two (2) letters. Given
the First Nation Wild Salmon Alliance operates with no budget whatsoever,
it is critical for our work that participating First Nations assist with
activities to advance the protection of our Sacred Resource. I hope that
you can distribute this to other Chiefs you feel would be willing to
participate.

The Final report will be available early next week.

Respectfully

Bob Chamberlin
Chairman
First Nation Wild Salmon Alliance
