Class Registration begins August 4th!  Classes start September 8th.



Looking for more information on Local Foods, Food Security, Food Business
or FoodPolicy?  Could you use more knowledge on these topics for your
current or future employment?



St. Lawrence College’s Sustainable Local Food Certificate is offering great
courses this fall semester with registration beginning on August 4th:




   - *CSSL 26: Field to Fork: Introduction to Local and Global Food System*
   - *CSSL29   Understanding Sustainable Farming: Principles and Practices*
   - *CSSL 28: Food Security and Food Justice in Canada*
   -  *CSSL 31: Between Farm and Table: Local Food Businesses and Co-Ops*
   - *CSSL 33: Food Policy and Trends*



*Who is this program for?*

The courses and certificate are designed for people who are:

·      Working, or hoping to work (as professionals and volunteers)
directly in local foodsystem development in communities and regions across
Canada

·      Wanting to learn more about this important area of sustainable
development

·      Interested in a systems approach to sustainable food and farming

·      Engaged by practical examples and innovative models, and critical
analysis of foodsystems, informed by leading concepts and ideas

·      Independent learners

·      Excited about working in an online community environment that will
facilitate new networks across the country while allowing participants to
work from home with a flexible study schedule
