Key Information that you will need for the 2016 Gathering: updated regularly
Time: the event runs from 9AM July 15th through 12:30PM on July 17th. Those coming from a distance can arrive on the evening of the 14th and breakfast will be served on the morning of the 15th.
Fees: The registration fee is $250 per adult (19 years plus). The fee for seniors and post-secondary students is $175; for youth aged 13 – 18 is $125; for children aged 6 – 11 years old is $65; children up to 5 years old are free. Single day registration fee is $125.
Funding ideas: we have a limited subsidy pool to support people’s participation in the Gathering, and we strive to use it as effectively as possible each year. There are funding sources available to individual participants that are not available to us as a Network. Community foundations where you live and your local elected officials can often access small pots of money to support individuals in their catchment area and through a less formal process than is common with project funding applications. Please consider contacting your local foundation or government official to request funds to attend the Gathering.
Accommodations: tenting (and a limited number of RVs) is available on site. Off site accommodations are the responsibility of attendees. See here for a list of accommodations in the Penticton area. Please note that hotels and B&B’s are scarce in the Okanagan in July, at the height of tourist season.
UPDATE: If you are joining us at the Gathering please make sure that you read about what to bring and other key information can be found in this document before you leave home!!
